Summer Sports Camps in Egypt
A side-by-side look at the best football camps, swimming camps and multi-sport programs running in Cairo, Alexandria and the North Coast this summer — with ages, weekly schedules, prices and how to book a trial.
Why summer camps work
A full school year of one or two weekly training sessions can't match what a dedicated camp week delivers: daily reps, proper recovery, real match play and friendships built around a shared sport. For parents in Egypt, summer camps also solve the long-break childcare problem with something genuinely useful — kids come home tired, happier and noticeably better at their sport.
Football camps in Egypt
Football is the most-requested camp in the country, and the format has matured. The strongest programs now run age-grouped sessions (U6–U8, U9–U12, U13–U16), a goalkeeper track, video review for older kids, and a Friday tournament. Expect 3–5 hours of football per day, water breaks, a snack or lunch, and a shaded indoor option in July and August.
- Cairo: academies on the Ring Road, New Cairo and 6th of October dominate, with the best pitches in private compounds.
- Alexandria: Smouha and Sporting host the biggest weekly intakes; Agami and Marina cover the coast.
- North Coast: July–August only, organized inside compound clubhouses — great if the family is already there.

Swimming camps
Swimming camps are the second-most-booked summer program in Egypt and the one with the clearest progress: most kids move up at least one level across a four-week block. Look for camps that group by ability (not age), cap lanes at six swimmers, and include a weekly stroke-correction video.
Multi-sport camps
For younger kids (4–8) or families who haven't committed to one sport yet, multi-sport camps rotate football, swimming, basketball, gymnastics and tennis across the week. They're the best value per-hour and the easiest way to find out what a child actually enjoys.
How to compare programs
- Coach-to-kid ratio — anything above 1:12 for football or 1:6 for swimming is too high.
- Daily hours on the pitch or in the pool — not total camp hours including transit and meals.
- What's included — kit, meals, transport, end-of-week tournament or gala.
- Trial day policy — the best academies let you try one day before paying for the week.
- Refund / illness policy — non-negotiable in Egyptian summer heat.
Typical prices (2026)
- Football camps: EGP 3,000 – 12,000 / week
- Swimming camps: EGP 4,000 – 14,000 / week
- Multi-sport camps: EGP 2,500 – 8,000 / week
- North Coast premium programs: EGP 8,000 – 20,000 / week
When to book
Top academies in Cairo and Alex sell out their June and July intakes by mid-May. August is easier but the heat is brutal — favor early-morning slots (7–10 AM) or late afternoon (5–8 PM).
