Hi, I'm Mohamed Rihan, founder of Sportlist.
Like every parent, I wanted my son to play sports — not just to stay active, but to build confidence, discipline, and friendships that last. What I didn't expect was how hard it would be to actually find the right academy for him. I asked around. I joined WhatsApp groups. I visited places based on a friend's recommendation from two years ago, hoping nothing had changed.
There was no single place to see what academies actually existed near me, what age groups they served, what parents really thought, or whether a trial class was even possible without three phone calls first.
So I built the thing I wished existed. I've played sports competitively — swimming and football — studied sports management through a FIFA/CIES diploma, and spent close to two years working in the field. Sportlist is where that background meets a problem every parent in Egypt has felt.
